Dr. Jennifer Solomon brings to Weiss Wellness 22-years of experience working as an award-winning physiatrist in NYC specializing in spine and sports medicine.
Most recently, Dr. Solomon served as an attending physiatrist for 18-years at the Hospital for Special Surgery. Her philosophy as a non-operative specialist is to properly diagnose the injury, then finding the root of the injury leads to her pursuing a proactive treatment plan. Whether non-operative procedures, physical therapy or a specified strength and conditioning plan & preventative care, she works with the patient every step of the way so they can return to a pain free and injury free active lifestyle.
Dr. Solomon’s training and education comes from some of the world’s most recognized and prestigious institutions. After completing her internship at St. Vincent’s Hospital, she completed her Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency at the prestigious Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation at UMDNJ. She then went on to complete her fellowship in Spine and Sports Medicine at the world-renowned Tri-Institute Program comprised of Hospital for Special Surgery, New York-Presbyterian Hospital, and Weill Medical College of Cornell University.
She served as a team physician for the United States Tennis Association on the WTA tour and has worked numerous sporting events and for professional sports teams, including the NYC Marathon. Dr. Solomon is a born and raised New Yorker, and currently resides in NYC with her two daughters, Samantha and Alexis. She is an athlete at heart, growing up a Junior Tennis Star, then going on to compete in collegiate tennis. She still plays tennis for fun, is an avid cyclist and has a passion for all things fitness and exercise
